VPN & remote access

You want to be able to access your machines inside your local networks from outside, so there are different ways to do this, including the use of VPN (Virtual Private Network). This is a solution that can be used coupled with SSH and VNC to display a remote Linux desktop or to take control of Windows with the Remote Desktop or other.

This solution has the merit of stacking up encryption and making it difficult to see the decryption of these security overlays between you and the wired infrastructure.
